There is a practical and sensible solution to the expensive rescue and relocation of feral rabbits. These furry bundles of organic, free range meat should be re-purposed as food.

In a city where, on average, 27,000 people use a food bank each week, and children go hungry, can we afford the luxury of "re-homing" a sustainable food source? Last year Delta budgeted $60,000 to relocate and neuter feral rabbits, money that would go a long way to helping people in need. The 50-plus rabbits who currently need "homes" would be a delicious and healthy addition to any family diet. I am willing to provide recipes and cooking lessons (you do have to be careful of the small bones).
